Delicious is a lunchtime favorite with our office group and is another place we bring out of towners for a dependably good lunch. There are about 4 Indian restaurants in Yokosuka that are all in close proximity to the base. Not surprisingly, the food served at all four of these places is quite similar and the differences small. The other well known Indian restaurants are GoGo, Nirvana, and Nishin Nepalese Indian.
The best way to go for lunch is the set menu. You'll get a small salad, naan, and a drink with your curry. The lunch menu is shown below. For the B and C sets you can choose two different curries and the A set just one, but you get a larger bowl with the A set. The baseline set includes plain naan bread. But I would recommend upgrading to the garlic naan for another 150 Yen. You can also upgrade to cheese or sesame naan.
C set includes chicken tikka, and the D set includes chicken tikka and a seek kabab. The menu and the waiter will guide you through the ordering process and you'll be asked to choose your spicy level too from 0-5. From experience, at level 1 you cannot even detect anything spicy, so you're probably safe going anywhere from 0-2 if you don't want your food that spicy.
For dinner, the prices for sets go up fairly significantly and you'll be paying about 1500-1800 yen depending on the set you choose. You can always just order from the extensive dinner menu separately as well.
The chefs here authentic and do their job well. Service is friendly.

There are a few ways to get there, either from the Blue Street side or from the base Main gate side. From Blue Street just turn right when you get to
Yayoiken and it'll soon be on your right. Best bet is to check the blog map on the main (top) page.
ReplyDeleteChinese Food RestaurantThanks for another informative site. Where else could I get that type of information written in such an ideal way like this post. This post is really nice one.
Thank you for the kind comment. I'm working to add more restaurants and make it easy to visit many of the places in town, even if they have no English menus.
