Aficionado Intelligence Report - 5

A new restaurant opened yesterday in Yokosuka and it's half-off through the 8th of September. (60 Yen skewers)

The restaurant is called Kushi katsu dengana or 串かつでんがな
It's located a half block East of TGI Friday's and it's a pretty neat little restaurant. Might hold 20 or so people with about 5 tables and a small counter.

You can check out their menu here.  A large selection of kushi katsu (breaded and deep fried yakitori type offerings) and about 20 additional side dishes. Remember, no double dipping into the sauce.

Kushikatsu Dengana seems to have sprung up from nowhere as a lot of restaurants seem to do in Japan. Just last week it was under construction and it appeared like it would take weeks to complete. But the Japanese are very efficient builders.

It looked like it was no smoking, which is quite unusual for a yakitori place.

AIR status:
AIR 1 - Disappearing wasabi pretzels remain a mystery. Please report any sightings.  Potential correlation to the sun's coronal hole pattern - investigating.
AIR 2 - This very promising local restaurant remains a mystery. A closely guarded secret it seems.
AIR 3 - Revealed as being served by Andy's Shin-hinomoto in Tokyo.
AIR 4 -Pepsi flavored cheetos

* Aficionado Intelligence Reporting (AIR) was conceived of grey bearded men, through brilliant thought, in a small Izakaya on the backstreets of Yokosuka. AIR reports on little known but exceptional (or maybe just really good) dining spots or interesting food developments and relies on highly untrained observers making random observations and developing conclusions through sometimes single data point regression statistical analysis.

Any conclusions from it's reporting are final.
