Pizzeria Sette

There are a number of small Italian restaurants in town. Most of them run by a family or couple. Some very good Italian and French restaurants can be found in Japan - as the Japanese are very good at representing these cuisines. Pizzeria Trattoria Sette is one of those places. Sette is run by some young entrepreneurs who are full of energy.

Inviting entrance
Sette is located just around the corner from Garlic House. This may not help all of you, but if you are unfamiliar with this area you can always check the blog map. The restaurant is about a 5 minute walk from Yokosuka Chuo station. For parking I would find a nearby lot or just walk from the base.

Caesar Salad
If a Japanese restaurant or Izakaya has a Caesar Salad I always order it, as every restaurant has their unique twist on it. I can also usually tell how the rest of the dishes will be based on the quality of the salad. Sette delivered a very nice salad with good taste and adequate size. Their twist was corn shaved fresh from the cob, okra, and some carrots.
Which one is the owner?
As I mentioned Sette is run by a team of young professionals full of energy. Can you tell which one is the seasoned owner? In the above photo we have Kaori, Takahiro, Yusuke, and Tsuyoshi-san. Tsuyoshi-san is the one that looks like he is 20 years old on the right. He is the owner and head chef.  Sette opened less than one year ago.

Oven roasted mashed potatoes

mystery pasta
Actually I think this was Bolognese Pasta.
On the night we visited they were fully booked. But they were able to accommodate us at a small counter on the first floor. The first floor has about 10 table seats and a few at the counter. Upstairs is a party room which can hold quite a few.

Bianca Mice
They speak pretty good English here. So along with the English menu don't be afraid to visit. They are closed on Mondays.  They are open only for dinner from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Food was good. Warm atmosphere. Friendly service! Give it a try.
