Nirvana II Indian and Nepalese Restaurant

Nirvana Indian and Nepalese restaurant now has two locations in Yokosuka. One is located basement level below Mikasa plaza and the other is located closer to Yokosuka Chuo. The one by Yokosuka-chuo is on the second floor. Check the blog map for both of them.

There are a handful of Indian restaurants in Yokosuka and I don't think you can go wrong at any of them. I've had some so-so Indian food in the U.S. but have never been disappointed here. Lunch is the best value as dinner prices are significantly higher. Set lunches are your best bet and will typically include one or two curries, a salad, some nan bread, maybe some rice, and a drink. I will always upgrade to the garlic nan for an extra 100 yen. More substantial sets will include some chicken tikka and/or a kebab.

After you've eaten here you will enter a state of "profound piece of mind" that is called Nirvana.  If not that, perhaps on your death bed you will receive total consciousness (bonus if you know where that saying is from).
All the menus are in English and Japanese and are shown below.

Mango lassi and side salad
Lassi is a drink made with yogurt. Not to be confused with the other lassie.
