Hokkaido is another surprising find in Yokosuka. Located nearby the train station you'd think it would be easy to find, but for most it goes unnoticed.
We found restaurant Hokkaido only after stumbling across Nijyu Maru right next door. Both are located on the 6th floor of the Yokosuka Prime building across the street from Yokosuka Chuo. Find it on the blog map or the location link below. It's quite easy to order here. Use the electronic menu touchpad, with all pages in English, Japanese, and Korean.
Every dish that came out seemed to be quite large, especially by Japan standards. You'll see we only ordered a few dishes - with the ramen noodle salad doing us in and putting a halt to the ordering.
I wish we could have ordered more because they had plenty of interesting dishes from which to choose.
Seating was inside private booths with sliding doors. Service was prompt. From what I recollect there was no seating charge.
Only complaint was that the food was a bit on the salty side. But that's the norm at these places that want you to drink more.
As mentioned above, it's on the 6th floor of the Yokosuka Prime building. Take the elevator up nearby the pachinko parlor entrance. It should be right in front of you upon exiting.
See some additional menu items and photos on their website. They are open for lunch and dinner.
