Bamiyan バーミヤン is a reliably good and popular Chinese food restaurant. Located near the end of "the Honch" towards Shiori Station. You can find them on the blog map
Bamiyan labels itself as Hong Kong fair as you can see on their menu below. Hong Kong 香港 uses the Kanji for "incense/fragrant" and "harbor" but here in Japan does not use the Kanji readings - instead they just use the hiragana or katakana for hon-kon.
Bamiyan is run by a Japanese company and is just one chain run by the Skylark group. And like so many other things, the Japanese do a really good job making Chinese food. Service is fast.
The menu (shown below) is in Japanese but there are pictures for everything - so just point. They even provide the number of calories in each dish. If you're wondering why each item shows two different prices, the second one is the price including tax. The menu items that have the little cup symbol next to them include the soup bar. There is also a symbol for the items available to take out. In Japanese (at this restaurant at least) "take out" uses the English words "Take Out" - man this blog is helpful.
The drink bar is a good option and value at only 200 Yen (before 5). I checked for coupons on their site though, and (at least for now) you can print a coupon to get the drink bar at half price. Check for coupons here. Bamiyan is the first one listed. Enter the number of coupons you want, then go to the buttons near the bottom of the page. Press the left button and then you'll be able to print the page that pops up. The coupons may change throughout the year.
Their full website is here, where you can check out the menu online.
Like any good Chinese restaurant, they do offer takeout. The last menu appears to show all their offerings for takeout - and as mentioned, you can look for the little take out symbols by each item as well.
Bamiyan uses the bell system to call for service which is very convenient. They always seem a bit short staffed here but the service never suffers. I've seen the wait staff practically running to provide faster service, especially if they know you've been waiting more than a few seconds.

If the fried rice looks like it's missing vegetables, that's because a certain individual ordered it that way. Otherwise it would probably come with some green onions, onions, and perhaps some carrots.
